Artist Statement
I’m driven to express myself through breathing life into beautiful words. My goal is to continue growing and practicing my skills.
Biography
I hung around Confederation Centre as a young teenager. Here, I found acceptance and encouragement to express myself. I’ve worked just about every job: onstage and backstage, in the director’s chair and front of house. Many of my closest friends from that time, found their profession and had satisfying careers. I have performed on the same stage that I had watched from my usher’s seat in the shadows with such longing.
While living in the UK, I had an opportunity to take courses on acting for radio, television, and film. Since returning to Canada, I have been working with young film makers here on the Island and am in awe of the talent/genius I’ve encountered. I’m finding the “ joy” on tv and film sets these days. Still learning daily.
