Is there a cost associated with creating a profile?

There is no cost to individuals, businesses or organizations who wish to create any number of profiles.

Why do I need yet another profile? I have so many already!

The goal of this website is to provide those with an interest in PEI, or a PEI-based creator, the best way to increase their knowledge of all of the incredible creators and organizations that make up our sector. It is about improving the ability to create new connections within PEI’s arts and culture communities and also improving the visibility of the individuals, businesses and organizations within those communities.

Why will people visit this site?

Unlike the many websites and social media accounts creators already struggle to maintain, dedicated staff will be focused on marketing this site to prospective visitors through paid search engine marketing, search engine optimization, print, and social media.

I want to create a personal profile for myself and also a profile for my business. Is this possible?

Yes, you can make as many profiles as you wish once you create an account. All the profiles you create can be found under the “My Listings” subheading within the Account tab.

In what ways can I customize my profile? Can I upload samples of my work and projects? 

Absolutely! Like most other social media profiles, you can upload a profile picture and a cover image, as well as up to 30 other photos or images. You can also embed videos and Soundcloud tracks or albums to your profile as well.

What are other types of information I am able to add to my profile?

There are available sections for biographical information as well as an artist statement or career objective to be added to your profile. You are able to categorize your profile and add tags to improve your profile’s searchability within the site. If you are a business owner or an organization, you can add your hours of operation and your location via a Google Maps widget. You can also link to all your other websites and social media accounts to increase overall visibility and get more eyes on your work or business.

If someone is interested in my work or has a question about my business or organization, can they contact me through my profile?

If you connect your email address or phone number to your profile, any visitors will be able to contact you in that way via the ‘Contact’ tab.

How do I edit or update my profile as I develop as a creator?

Upon registration, you will be given a username and password which will allow you to log in to the backend of the website. From there, you will be able to edit your profile and even view your profile’s viewer stats.

Do I have the option of deregistering or deleting my profile?

Yes, you can either temporarily unpublish or permanently delete your profile(s) at any time!

Are there additional features available to upgrade my profile?

Not at this time. However, our plan is to slowly evolve the overall site by adding more features and capabilities as time goes on.

Can I access help in creating and maintaining my profile?
