About PEI.ART

What is PEI.ART?

CreativePEI is excited to launch this beautiful and feature-rich online directory that aims to centralize information on the amazing individuals, businesses, and organizations that make up PEI’s creative sector.

The website will provide a space for creatives to promote their work to local and global audiences who are actively seeking information on our province or members of our sector.

This initiative will both connect creators with each other, and market their efforts to the general public, leading to greater collaboration and work opportunities.

Why Now?

In March of 2021, CreativePEI received funding through the Canada Council of the Arts’ Digital Strategy Fund to conduct a feasibility study in collaboration with a number of key arts and culture organizations on PEI to determine their members’ needs in relation to the creation of a new digital strategy for our sector. Innovation PEI and TourismPEI were also consulted in these initial discussions. It was determined through these consultations that a media-rich content portal and directory would provide the biggest benefit to the sector by enhancing the discoverability of Island artists and businesses by both local and global audiences.

Website Features:

Media-rich profiles of individuals, businesses and organizations that will include:

  • a bio, photo gallery and embedded video
  • contact information and location if applicable,
