Artist Statement
I am a theatre director, producer, performer and dramaturge, as well as the artistic director of The River Clyde Pageant.
I thrive on directing large- and small-scale theatre projects, community collaborations, and multidisciplinary festivals and events. I love outdoor pageantry, processional and site-specific performance, and ensemble-based creation.
While I mostly direct and produce theatre, I’m also an experienced voice actor and occasionally can be found acting for theatre and film. I have worked with playwrights, theatre makers and directors as a dramaturge for new plays and performances.
I am the co-founder of The River Clyde Pageant, with Ker Wells; the co-founder of the Island Fringe Festival, with Sarah Segal-Lazar; and co-creator of the March of the Crows for Art in the Open, with Jamie Shannon & Harmony Wagner.
I am a graduate of Simon Fraser University’s MFA program in Interdisciplinary Arts. I am grateful to work and reside in Epekwitk, in Mi'kma'ki Territory.
