Artist Statement

Creative expression is my passion. Beginning as a child performer in my hometown of Stratford, Ontario I was mentored in technical theatre and art direction prior to studying music performance.

Today, after surviving brutal gender-based violence, I identify as a disabled artist living with TBI and CPTSD based in Charlottetown, PEI.

Yes, trauma has shaped my artistic practice in positive ways. I'm often referred to as 'Set Mom or Mother' because I approach things in a calm, thoughful and approachable manner. It doesn't hurt that creative problem-solving is my jam.
