Artist Statement
I am an abstract artist working across painting and illustration. My paintings are dynamic and intuitive interactions with color, gesture, and movement—each piece a response to feeling and rhythm. I approach the canvas as a space of exploration, letting a color or shape lead and layers unfold organically.
My illustrations are structured by a base grid. Within this framework, I build detail, and explore the tension between structure and spontaneity. Across both practices, I am drawn to processes that balance freedom and form, trusting the work to reveal its own internal logic.
Biography
Born in Mexico City, I moved to Prince Edward Island to pursue my studies and earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Prince Edward Island. I now live and work in the Charlottetown area, where I continue to develop my painting and illustration practice.
