Artist Statement
Ashleigh Tremere is a writer who creates visual art for its ability to engage their natural polymathic state of mind. Their inspiration mostly comes from the natural world and our interconnection within it. Ashleigh is also curious about the motivations that weave the stories we tell and how that affects generational knowledge.
Biography
Ashleigh is committed to lifelong learning across a variety of mediums and does not feel that mastery of a singular discipline is the path for them. Rather they seek the intersection that can be found when value is inherently implied to any genuine exploration of creating. Current mediums of predominate interests include poetry, spoken word performances, photography, sculptural and painting designs with natural preserved materials, ink and pencil sketching. She welcomes all opportunities to create in community.
Ashleigh Tremere resides in Epekwitk with their most favourite human, four semi-feral children, growing wild gardens and hanging out with chickens.
