Artist Statement
My work revolves around the art of portraiture, where I challenge myself to explore diverse styles and techniques. While commissions shape much of my practice, I am increasingly drawn to personal creative exploration, seeking new ways to express individuality and emotion through my subjects. Continuous learning fuels my artistic journey, pushing me to expand my skills and vision.
Biography
I am a local islander and self-taught artist with a lifelong passion for creativity. Always eager to learn and seek out classes/workshops to expand my skills. Some of my past work includes the Town of Mermaid sign, portraits of ‘Local Legends’ in the Educators exhibit at The Guild and a piece in Blank Canvas Art Supplies “Bare” exhibit. I live with my two sons and two dogs, finding inspiration in my surroundings and everyday life.
