Artist Statement
The artist works primarily in the classic technique of oils on linen, in a painterly figurative style, with colour and light as the primary subject. His work hangs in homes, public institutions and corporate offices around the world.
John's work is for sale at www.tallpines.ca and in person in the small independent studio gallery he shares with his partner Danielle White and their fellow local artist Emily Howard. The space is located at 85 Fitzroy (3rd Floor), Charlottetown and is open by appointment.
Biography
John Frederick Cox was born in Toronto in 1957, and had his first professional show in 1976 at the Confederation Centre of the Arts.
