Artist Statement
I'm interested in telling stories, and the story is central to everything I do. I call my theatre company Desert Island because I focus on what is integral to theatrical performance - namely a script and actors. Everything else is a luxury that must be mindfully applied in service of the story.
Biography
I graduated from UPEI with a BA in English in 2013, and from UPEI with honours in English (creative writing) in 2015. I attended and graduated from George Brown Theatre School in 2019 and have been self-producing through my company Desert Island Theatre Company ever since. I've also spent three seasons at the Victoria Playhouse in Victoria by the Sea, and one season at the Watermark Theatre in North Rustico.
