About Our Organization

This is the oldest of Prince Edward Island’s lighthouses. Built in 1845 and designed by Province House architect Isaac Smith, this 60-foot tower is the only round brick lighthouse in the province and is classified as a National Heritage site. The Lighthouse has historic displays, guided tours, a picnic area, as well as a virtual tour viewed from the first floor. Visitors can climb to the top for a magnificent view of Northumberland Strait and Hillsborough Bay.
