Since graduating from NSCAD University with a BFA in Textiles in 2004, Rilla Marshall’s textile artwork has been exhibited in group and solo shows in PEI, NS, Alberta, Ontario, and Newfoundland and Labrador. She had received numerous grants for the creation and exhibition of artwork, as well as operated a successful production weaving business. In 2012, Marshall was the recipient of the W.B. Bruce European Fine Art Travel Scholarship and traveled to Sweden to research hand-weaving traditions. She works in her home studio in a century-old school house in Belfast, PEI / Epetwitk, Canada.
