Biography

Noah McAvinn is a Recent Graduate of the Holland College Photography and Videography Program and is a member of FilmPEI.

 

Prior to entering Holland College, he was a yearbook photographer at his local high school for  three years capturing events big and small. When he entered Holland College, Noah learned how to properly operate any and every photography equipment essential to being a professional.

 

In the meantime, he got involved in a lot of the school events, taking photos of any and every event that happened mirroring his days as a yearbook photographer.

 

It was also during his time at Holland College he would take his first steps into filmmaking serving as a production assistant alongside his classmates on a music video for Latin Singer-Songwriter Dianadelirio's single titled "Canso De Ti", With co-production from FilmPEI.

 

Following this, he was featured along with almost all of the students in the Holland College School of Visual Arts in a end of the year showcase at the Confederation Center of the Arts for an exhibit titled "The Future is..."

 

Following graduation, he became a member of FilmPEI and in August, Noah would get involved in a second production, but this time as a sound recordist and production manager for the 48 Hour Film Project titled, "Pictures of a Bird", which premiered at the Astor Theatre in Liverpool, Nova Scotia on September 22nd 2024 and was released on YouTube on September 25th.

 

Noah is opened to doing any and all types of photography, particularly his favourites being landscapes, landmarks, music concerts, nighttime long exposures, and outdoor and studio portrait photography.
