Artist Statement
“I am an artist, that means I live in a fantasy world with unrealistic expectations.”
I am currently an inspiring professional artist very familiar with many styles of painting, Sketching, as well as making DIY handmade jewelry; Particularly with Pop can tabs.
I have my own page on Instagram dedicated to me making and showing my art work called: nicoles_art_designs_ .
My style of art ranges from fantasy to modern styles. I use my style of art as a symbol of expression from how I feel or what's going on around me.
Biography
I was born and raised in PEI. I reside in Eastern PEI and am very familiar with the island. Everywhere I go in PEI, Its like a landscape waiting to be painted.
Aside from my artistic hustle, I am also an Independent Contractor in charge of projects for retail stores throughout eastern PEI, from stocking event cards to organizing purchase orders for products to be sold to the public.
I've been an artistic person since I was doodling in my notebooks as a child to an adult wanting to make my passion of art into a lifetime career somehow whether it is full time or not because some people have various hopes and dreams. I believe the sky’s the limit. I am self taught in painting and making DIY crafting.
I'm currently a student studying Business Administration online and I have since late 2022. I don't have a lot of professional artist experience, but as I said, I am an aspiring professional artist and is something I want to somehow pursue in my life. I would like to have my own business in the future with my higher education and my love of all things creative.
I have attended craft fairs and set up booths where I have sold my creations.
I feel you don't need to attend an art school to be an artist. You just need a creative mind, a blank canvas and a paint brush then don’t be afraid to make a mess with your colors.
