Artist Statement
Weaving together nature, tradition, culture, community, and architecture as the guiding principles for what Fraser hopes to explore and experience towards his continuing journey as an Architect. Having the opportunity to create and cultivate our natural surroundings in-tandem with design; as a way to provide evidence and acceptance for growth and adaptation throughout future projects. Ecocentrism is the desire. A shared-stewardship must be our future - with the human, nature and animal.
Biography
Growing up as an islander, Fraser's willingness to discover, his communication skills, and his overall work ethics have been adapted specifically for this type of architecture-based living while learning lifestyle. Throughout the last six years, he's experienced architecture through college, Island firms, healthcare, university, and research; gaining an on-going understanding for various situations, as a way to strengthen one’s views, values, and commitment to the working environment. Because of his diverse range of knowledge, Fraser has become proficient in schematic design, design development (SketchUp), building assemblies, detailing (AutoCAD and Revit), contract administration, and social media advancement while always collaboratively communicating as a team; in-office and on-site.
